title Women's Leadership Through EPIC : A Study of East and Central African Women Christians
abstract Education is essential for achieving freedom, peace, and social justice. Women's education is a key tool for empowerment, overcoming barriers, and reducing poverty, oppression, and discrimination in East and Central Africa. It plays a crucial role in establishing gender equality and improving women's social status. Women in these regions face economic disadvantages and societal prejudices, limiting their leadership opportunities.

This study aims to highlight the potential of East/Central African women, enabling them to lead in society. Women's leadership, currently explored through women's ministry, helps them tackle challenges and expand their roles. Based on the EPIC theory, this research examines leadership formation through experience, participation, and imagination, connecting family, local, school, church, and social communities. It also fosters solidarity with women globally.

The study focuses on female pastors, educators, tribal women, and young leaders like Maasai, Pygmy women, and MZ generation students. Leadership training includes theological education, spiritual practices, and community engagement, particularly through the 2024 conference. Interest in spirituality and education is growing, and ongoing evaluation is needed. This study seeks to create spiritual ripple effects, fostering women's empowerment and advancing the 'Ecclesia Movement.' Future efforts will focus on continuous leadership training and development.
