title "A Study on the Impact of Missional Church's Pastoral Strategies on Church Maturity": Focusing on the Case of Seajungang Church as a Missional Church
abstract This paper examines the concept of the missional church through scholarly inquiry, analyzes how the missional church practically carries out its mission through the pastoral strategies implemented by Saejungang Church, and investigates how missional believers, as mission resources, live out a missional life—thereby exploring the impact of these pastoral strategies on the maturity of both the church community and its members.

Contemporary churches are transitioning from periods of revival to phases of decline. In an era where the survival of the church takes precedence over its growth, the pastoral strategies of the missional church propose that the church’s ministry and resources are not to be confined within its walls; instead, they should be directed toward equipping believers to live the gospel in the world.

Both the church community and its members are called to obey Jesus' Great Commission by discipling the people. To fulfill this mandate, they must venture creatively into the world—preaching the gospel, baptizing new disciples who receive salvation through faith, and, beyond baptism, teaching, training, and nurturing them to become true disciples. All these ministries must be carried out in the world to which God sends His missional people rather than being limited to the church premises.

The effective establishment of the missional church's pastoral strategies—and the subsequent maturity of its community and members—depends on an attitude of humility and a spirit of servanthood. Without these qualities, it is exceedingly difficult for the community and its members to sustain a truly missional life. When believers, armed with the gospel, go forth into the world with humility and service, they will witness the fruitful expansion of God's kingdom.

Saejungang Church, where the author serves, exemplifies a sending church that has established and executed the pastoral strategies characteristic of a missional church. As a result, its community and members are now actively living a mission-oriented life in the world. The concept of the Vision Campus encapsulates the idea that the focal point of the gospel extends beyond local congregations to include every sphere of life where missional believers dwell. Similarly, the vision for mission ministry holds that every believer in a missional church becomes not only a missional disciple but also a mission resource, actively living out the call to a missional life.

In summary, when the pastoral strategies of the missional church are effectively implemented and its members embrace lives marked by humility and servanthood, the church will mature—and such maturity will ultimately lead to its revival.
