This paper explores the laying down one's own righteousness in the life of faith, reflecting on who is truly worthy of praise and with what heart one should worship. It explains how musical elements used in worship services can be expressed in various ways and diagnoses the problems hindering church growth, offering solutions for revival. Through this approach, the paper clarifies what praise is and why it should be given.
The changes in worship brought about by COVID-19 have altered the way worship and praise are offered to God, turning them into means of personal satisfaction. People may shout that they are praising God, but in reality, their praise is not truly directed toward Him. As a result, even their faith in the Lord has been shaken. Both the church and its members must remain entirely focused on God. Even for a brief moment, if one turns their eyes away and seeks to glorify themselves, it may not be visible to others, but it is impossible to hide from God's eyes. The musical elements within the church should serve only to exalt the name of our Lord and give Him glory, yet pride and foolishness often stand in the way of truth. When believers worship with all their hearts, the chains of weakness and sin are broken.
I pray the Holy Flames Church will be broken down negative attitudes, pride, sin, and preconceived notions that have taken root within the church, pressing forward toward the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven so that they may offer praise that is truly pleasing to God
Praise is one of the privileges granted by God, and therefore, believers should fully enjoy this privilege. As they give thanks for the grace they have received, their praise should spread from their lips to every corner of the church and beyond, reaching the world just as the gospel of God's kingdom was delivered to the Gentiles. In this way, the church fulfills its mission of bringing life and restoration to the local community.
As we worship together with fellow believers, we strive to offer worship that is pleasing to God and that He delights in. While technical aspects are important, maintaining a pure heart and allowing it to be beautifully filled with His grace should be our greatest expectation.
May the genuine and wholehearted praise that God receives the Holy Flames Church and the lives of its members. As God's chosen people remain faithful to their identity, may our worship remain alive, and through the greatness of praise, may we experience the works of restoration and a victorious life.
