title A Study of the Communality of Worship
abstract This project paper describes and diagnoses how God explains worship in the Bible and how worship has been viewed and defined over time, from the early church to the present day, based on the concept of "communality." Through this diagnosis, we derive what right worship is and provide direction for right communality for the restoration of worship in the future. The COVID-19 pandemic has especially shaken the most important characteristic of worship in Korea and the United States: the communality of worship. The impact on worship broke a church. Many churches have been trying to find ways to survive during the Pandemic, and they have been trying to find a new direction for worship by making various attempts at worship, which is the life and purpose of the church. Unfortunately, the wrong direction soon drove people away from the church, and their footsteps never returned to the church. The church did not know the right direction for worship. This is because it overlooks the communality that is at the heart of church and worship. The right direction for worship is to realize the essence of worship. Many churches have tried to find a new direction for worship, but because they didn't recognize the essence of communality, their worship suffered and members left the church.

Worship damage and changes cause our spiritual damage and changes. Wrong changes in worship bring about wrong changes in our lives. Therefore, the church needs the right approach to worship. Thus, this paper will diagnose current worship by drawing lessons from the Bible about proper worship and lessons from past worship. It will provide direction for future worship communality. The overarching goal of this thesis is to see the church revitalized by the integration of biblical, past, and present lessons on worship so that future worship communality is restored. The church needs to be faster than the world, so it is important to wisely apply biblical, past, and present lessons that may seem trite and old. It is my hope that this paper will spark a revival of worship and a revitalization of the spirit of the saints.
