titleTong Preaching in a Context of Congregational Visitation : A Study of Visitation Ministry in Saejungang Church, Anyang, Korea
abstract The Fourth Industrial Revolution will change human life dramatically. Big data, artificial intelligence, rapidly developing robotics and nanotechnology will be realized and will affect the whole of human life. This change is not limited to the secular world. The changes by the Fourth Industrial Revolution will come into the church like a flood. The congregation will ask the preachers of the church to answer new questions regarding new situations and circumstances. If we do not understand these trends and cannot cope with new civilization wisely, the church will die out, too.

In this project, the impact of traditional sermon and holistic sermon on the believers were reviewed and analyzed in order to make the church stand upright. The issue of bias in the traditional sermon was reviewed to make it a sermon proclaiming God rather than delivering the words of the preacher. To do this, we must have the ability to see through the whole, not biased to a part.

Saejungang Church, which the researcher has been working, has grown and developed with the perseverance, tears and enthusiasm of Pastor Park Joung-sik for 33 years. It has been developed further with the leadership of the pastor Hwang Duck-young who succeeded to Pastor Park in 2017. During the past four years, the researcher has been working as an assistant pastor. When the researcher visited houses of the believers, the researcher performed holistic sermon to deliver the mind and thought of God taking the Bible as a whole rather than parts. Through the interviews with the believers, the improvement points of the traditional sermon were identified and it was confirmed that the holistic sermon would be necessary for the faith growth of the believers.

The proclamation of the Word is the life of the church. When the proclamation of the Word deteriorates, the church is corrupted, and the congregation loses the strength. Therefore, the proclamation of the right Word is absolutely necessary. As one of the methods, Dr. Zoh Byung-ho's holistic sermon is proposed. When the researcher has performed the holistic sermon for the believers of the church, there have been many changes. The step of this change will be the future of Korean church.
