titleTong Bible Learning for Understanding the Words of the Congregation: A Case Study of Tamra Church, Jeju, Korea
abstract The year 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Ever since the gospel was brought into Korea by missionaries, Korean churches spent a period of revival by the spirits of the Reformation, 'Sola Scriptura', 'Solus Christus', 'Sola Gratia', 'Sola Fide', 'Soli Deo Gloria.' So, there were many events inside Korean churches to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. But more important than such events, I think, we should pay attention to the call of religious reformers 500 years ago. Especially, Korean churches need to be refreshed with the spirit of 'the Bible only'. The purpose of this study is to provide a concrete alternative to the church of today to recover the Bible in a holistic sense.

This study was researched using the 'Tong Bible' and 'The Principles and Methodologies of TongBible.' In this Study, when used in a program like 'Tong Bible School' and 'Tongdok Early Morning Service,' through the methodology of 'Reading the Bible', 'Listening to the Bible' and 'Meditation by Tong Bible' is based on the principle of 'Tong Bible,’ It has come to the attention of the saints to see the impact of Learning for Understanding the Words of the Congregation.

Specially, the author has interviewed in depth five people who participated in this program. As a result, it was confirmed that 'Tong Bible Program' was very effective in hearing and understanding the words of God. The Bible, which had seemed difficult, was easy to feel and could understand God's heart expressed in the Bible.

It's time to go back to 'Sola Scriptura.' I hope that the Korean church will revive itself by understanding the words of God through the principles of 'Tong Bible' and 'The Principles and Methodologies of Tong Bible.' In addition, each church is confident that it has a clear effect when understanding the Bible through a practical 'Tong Bible Program', so it is necessary to actively review and implement them.
