All Things Holy and Heathen
| abstract |
This poetry collection uses traditional, open, and experimental poetry forms to explore and question what society deems sacred and profane. Jackson juxtaposes concepts that at first glance, appear to be opposites, including surrealism and reality; the past and present; memory and imagination; and the city and the natural world, to reveal and challenge the false dichotomies and harmful belief systems that permeate our daily lives.
